Our four-court sports hall is available to hire for multiple activities – from badminton to yoga and everything in between. Enjoy exclusive use of our sports hall with posts and nets set up within five minutes of your session. Playing equipment is also available. Hire our sports facilities for: Indoor five-a-side football, Badminton, Cheerleading, Dance, Futsal, Handball, Netball, Table Tennis, Yoga and more.

Our multi-purpose, air conditioned Activity Studio is available to hire and provides a flexible space for multiple activities, clubs or events. NUCASTLE has a range of well-furnished, air-conditioned meeting rooms with interactive whiteboard screens and televisions. Use classrooms or meetings rooms for tuition, language schools, events, meetings, presentations or training sessions. Why not combine your meeting with a team building activity, health and wellbeing workshop or sporting activity in our activity and cycle studios, sports hall or rooftop 4G football pitch?

Play on our amazing outdoor 4G pitch overlooking St. James’ Park – the home of Newcastle United. Equipped with a pitchside viewing area, match review suite and accessible changing facilities, we cater for all ages and abilities. NUCASTLE’s rooftop pitch is available for hire to play casual football and children’s birthday parties or enjoy our excellent facilities as part of NUCASTLE's six-a-side league, pre-school and community football sessions. Little Magpies

Join our weekly, fun football development sessions at NUCASTLE, perfect for children aged three to eleven every Saturday. Classes are tailored to suit each child’s age and ability with beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions available. Booking is essential – to get involved, email nucastle@nufc.co.uk

FAQ's

What is NUCASTLE?

NUCASTLE is a community hub providing sporting activities and facilities that can be booked by individuals or groups. We are also the host venue for numerous Newcastle United Foundation programmes and free community sessions for adults and children.
NUCASTLE provides event hire space for groups of up to 70 people for meetings, training days, events, and team building / corporate away days.
NUCASTLE is a children’s birthday party venue, and we offer a selection of Football, Football and Gaming and Fun & Games Parties.

What information can you tell me about the building?

NUCASTLE opening hours are 8am -9:30pm.
Located on Diana Street, NE4 68Q and only a 5-minute walk from St. James’ Park.
There is a lift to access all floors.
Centre parking is located around back of the centre, off Stanhope Street next to Avolon Court, car parks to the side and front of centre are privately owned.
Changing rooms including an accessible changing room with tracking hoist are available on site.

How do I book?

For one off sporting sessions, you MUST book and pay through the website, bookings cannot be taken at reception.

For block bookings, parties, event space and classroom hire please email NUCASTLE@nufc.co.uk

Can I take photos or film at NUCASTLE?

Safeguarding is a priority at NUCASTLE and some of our participants are not allowed to be filmed, therefore photography and filming must be approved or carried out by a verified Foundation or NUCASTLE employee/ volunteer. Photography is strictly forbidden in the changing and toilet areas.

Is there on-site Wi- FI access?

Free WI- Fi access is available for all centre users. Please ask a member of our reception team upon your arrival.

What footwear is best?

We recommend Astro trainers or moulded boots for the 4G rooftop pitch but trainers are acceptable. Trainers are recommended as the only footwear to be worn in the Sports Hall.

Can I refill my water bottle?

Thanks to our partners Northumbria Water, we are part of the refill scheme, so you can fill up your water bottle for free. The refill station can be found on level one in the Sports Hall.
