Through our education, sport, personal development, and wellbeing programmes, we help everyone to be more active, learn new skills and feel happier and healthier.
NU Futures will be delivered at NUCASTLE powered by Newcastle Building Society, alongside an extensive community outreach programme targeting thousands of schoolchildren and young people across the North of Tyne. The programme will also see additional support for young adults furthest from the jobs market through mentoring, personal development, digital STEM learning and regular interactions with local employers.
From free physical activity, respite support for chronically ill children and teenagers, and personal development courses to support impact projects, early intervention youth violence work and more. Our community programmes offer opportunities for children and young adults of all backgrounds to navigate through everyday life.
Our specialist Football Development programmes ensure everyone can enjoy the sport we love. Our professional coaching team lead Advanced Coaching, Disability, Holiday Courses, Matchday Experiences, Women and Girls' provision and more for young players of all abilities. And with pathways to play nationally through our post-16 programmes, the next generation of superstars can start their Football Development journey with us.
From Youth Wellbeing work, wellness workshops and Mental Health First Aid training to the holistic 12th Man programme and Walking Football, every generation can access support to feel happier and healthier. Our award-winning mental health awareness campaign Be A Game Changer also provides peer support opportunities for our entire community.
Through our schools programme, an interactive and inclusive lessons delivered by our dedicated team. In classrooms, playgrounds and at our home, NUCASTLE. We use Premier League Primary Stars, PE, literacy, numeracy and personal development initiatives to engage pupils and their families through the power of football and the brand of Newcastle United.
Newcastle United Foundation has a 14-year proven track record of delivering award-winning, life-changing community, health and education projects. An independent EY report calculated that we generated £22.5m in community value in 2017/18 – an impressive ratio of £7 in social impact for every £1 invested demonstrating value for our funders and partners.
