Fundraising

There are many ways you can support the work of Newcastle United Foundation. You can help by fundraising for us or attending one of our charity events.

Family Fun Run

Family Fun Run

Join us this summer for our Family Fun Run, a fun and active event designed for children aged 3–12 and their families.

Taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 9.30am to 11.30am, the route will start on Strawberry Place, head into Leazes Park, and complete a lap before finishing next to the bandstand.

Entry is just £5 for children, with adults running free, making it an affordable way for the whole family to get involved. At the finish line, there’ll be a range of activities for all ages, plus every child will receive a finisher’s medal to celebrate their achievement.

This event has been supported with a grant from Robson Laidler Accountants.
Great North 10k

AJ Bell Great North 10k

The AJ Bell Great North 10k is back on 5 July 2026.

Runners will have the option to be a local hero and run for Newcastle United Foundation. As a Foundation runner, you will be wearing a special black and white striped vest and will be transformed into a local hero as you run along a city centre route that shares the same iconic start line as the Great North Run.

Your sponsorship directly funds meaningful community work in your area, helping motivate and inspire people to be more active, learn new skills, be more employable and to reach their potential.
Great North Run

AJ Bell Great North Run

Each year Newcastle United Foundation recruits a team of runners to take on the Great North Run – the World’s biggest and best half marathon.

Fundraisers completing the Great North Run for Newcastle United Foundation directly generate vital funding for our community programmes, providing support for thousands of people across the region every year.

To secure your place, we ask for a £65 deposit to cover the cost of your place. All the money you raise comes directly to Newcastle United Foundation.

We ask our runners to raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship. Your sponsorship directly funds meaningful community work in your area, helping motivate and inspire people to be more active, learn new skills, be more employable and to reach their potential.
