Give your boots a second life - and help North East children play

Got yourself a new pair of boots? Don’t let your old ones gather dust - donate them and help a young Geordie follow their footballing dreams.

Got yourself a new pair of boots? Don’t let your old ones gather dust - donate them and help a young Geordie follow their footballing dreams.

Newcastle United and Newcastle United Foundation are teaming up to support families across the North East and make football more accessible, all while backing a more sustainable future for our city.

WHY YOUR DONATION MATTERS

The cost of new kit is a real barrier for many families. Some young players arrive at sessions wearing:

  • School shoes that offer no grip or protection.
  • Ill-fitting or damaged boots that cause discomfort.
  • Shared footwear passed back and forth between siblings.

By donating your pre-loved boots, you aren’t just clearing out your cupboard - you’re giving a child a pair of boots to call their own.

HOW TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT

A collection point is ready at the Official Club Store at St. James’ Park on all home matchdays.

Where: Official Club Store, St. James’ Park
When: Open 90 minutes before kick-off at each home fixture.
What: Gently used grass and astroturf boots, in both children’s and adult sizes.

Every pair donated will be rehomed through the Ashington Boot Room, making sure they go straight to youngsters who need them most.
